Who can attend Trivium Academy?
All children who will be in kindergarten-12th grade can apply as long as they live within the school’s boundary. Trivium's boundary includes: Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Plano ISD, Lewisville ISD, Little Elm ISD, Frisco ISD, Prosper ISD, Allen ISD, McKinney ISD, and Lovejoy ISD.

Trivium Academy follows the Texas Education Agency's guidelines for open-enrollment charter school admissions. We will not discriminate on the basis of sex, national origin, ethnicity, religion, disability, academic, artistic, or athletic ability, or the district the child would otherwise attend. However, we can and do provide for the exclusion of a student who has a documented history of a criminal offense, a juvenile court adjudication, or discipline problems under Subchapter A, Chapter 37.

2024-2025 Application Information

Our open-enrollment window for the 2024-2025 school year will be January 12, 2024-February 12, 2024, and the lottery will be held in a public forum on February 27, 2024 at 4:30 PM. We utilize SchoolMint software for our lottery, and emails will be sent automatically when the lottery is conducted electronically. You can also log in to SchoolMint to see the results.

When you create your application in SchoolMint, please enter an email address and choose that as your preferred method of contact. Otherwise, it is possible for you to miss crucial communications. Please note that a separate application must be filled out for each child you are seeking to enroll in Trivium Academy.

We accept applications throughout the school year to be placed on the waiting list, and we offer spots as they become available throughout the year.

If you would like to learn more about Trivium Academy, please join us for a prospective parent meeting in the Trivium cafeteria: January 9: Elementary (K-6) 5:30-7:00 PM January 30: Secondary (7-12) 5:30-7:00 PM

Applications are accepted all year. After the open enrollment window ends, applications are added to the waiting list as they are received.

  • During the open-enrollment period, applications are not received on a first come, first served basis.

  • If the number of applications received during the open-enrollment window exceeds the available spots in a grade level, a random lottery will be held in a public forum to determine admission or placement on the waiting list. The lottery is done electronically, and notifications will be sent through SchoolMint.

  • Siblings of current students and children of staff members are exempt from the lottery.  In addition, the sibling of any student admitted during the lottery will receive priority placement on a space available basis.

  • Students who apply after the open enrollment window ends will be placed at the end of the waiting list created by the lottery in the order in which those late applications are received.
